Kyoto Railway Museum

교토역 인근에 위치한 일본 최대 규모의 철도 박물관 중 하나 — 지금도 이따금 가동되는 증기기관차 차고를 포함해 실제 기관차와 열차 차량 50대 이상을 전시하며, 실제 운행하는 증기기관차 체험과 정교한 모형 레이아웃도 갖추고 있다.

Open 10:00–17:00, last entry 16:30; closed Wednesdays (with holiday exceptions) and around New Year. Adult admission is around ¥1,500. It's a short walk or shuttle bus from Kyoto Station and popular with families, so weekends and school holidays get busy.
