Kyoto International Manga Museum

옛 초등학교 건물을 개조한 박물관으로, 약 30만 권의 만화책을 소장하고 있다. 200미터에 이르는 '만화의 벽'에서는 책을 직접 꺼내 그 자리에서 읽을 수 있으며, 만화의 역사와 작가를 다루는 기획전시도 순환 운영된다.

Open 10:00–17:00 (last admission 16:30); closed Wednesdays, though it stays open if Wednesday is a national holiday and closes the following day instead. Admission is roughly ¥900–1,200 depending on age. Most of the manga is in Japanese, but the building and exhibits are approachable even without reading it.
