Arashiyama Bamboo Grove

서교토의 덴류지 바로 옆, 우뚝 솟은 대나무 줄기가 바람에 삐걱거리며 흔들리는 약 400미터 길이의 산책로. 일본에서 가장 많이 사진에 담기는 자연 명소 중 하나이며, 언제든 무료로 걸을 수 있다.

The grove is open 24 hours with free entry. Arrive at or before sunrise to have the path close to yourself; it gets very crowded by mid-morning. It's about a 10-minute walk from Saga-Arashiyama Station (JR Sagano Line) or a 30-minute Hankyu train ride from central Kyoto. Combine it with neighbouring Tenryu-ji's garden and, further on, the Togetsukyo Bridge.
